Ron Degener, a past President of the Iowa Chapter #5 IH Collector’s Club, is interviewed by Joe Neville as he explains the history of this rare McCormick-Deering horse drawn one row Corn Picker. Manufactured from 1921-1929 by the International Harvester Co., this unit replaced the practice of hand picking corn by the farmer. It was pulled by eight horses and required two more  horses to pull the wagon collecting the picked corn. Ron has painstakingly restored this picker to it’s original condition.
