Jim Shutt, IHCC National Board Vice President, Shares the History of his Dad’s 1937 F-20

In this video, Jim Shutt tells the story of the reliability of his IH Farmall F-20 which his dad purchased new in 1937, and was used on the farm until 1967. As a boy, he had to ride in the wagon while picking corn since a prior owner of the picker had modified it, leaving a short elevator that required him to move the incoming ears to the back of the wagon. During all those years, it only failed twice to start.
This interview was conducted at the 28th National Red Power Round Up in Des Moines, Iowa in June 2017.
