MISSION

OUR STORIES

International Harvester Company, and the world-wide dealer organization serving customers, became one of the most significant organizations for the betterment of mankind the world has ever known.

Our mission is to gather the stories of those who were witnesses to the IHC.

Memories were being made, and so was important history.

OUR PURPOSE

International Harvester Company, and the world-wide dealer organization serving customers, became one of the most significant organizations for the betterment of mankind the world has ever known.

There are many untold and undocumented stories reflecting the incredible contributions of IHC and related personnel that urgently need to be captured. Many Harvester personnel working in all capacities in the latter years overcame great challenges. Our purpose is to document as many of those stories as possible.

OUR MISSION
Anchor 1

To gather the stories and oral histories of those who were witnesses to the International Harvester Company.

To preserve for posterity the significant events, particularly in the later years of International Harvester, that have been largely undocumented. Our objective is not only to document stories and experiences, but to compile a database of former International Harvester employees, whether dealership employees or corporate employees.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We seek input from former dealer and IHC employees from all Product Groups. There are over 8,000 IHCC members worldwide, and there resides a wealth of valuable information, so…

even if you don’t wish to submit a story, send us your name, contact info, and brief work history for the archive. This information will be of value to many of us who have lost track of former friends and colleagues, and will help us to document the history of the IH company for posterity.

In addition to our effort to preserve this living IHC history in the Historical Archives, we also plan to run selected stories in future issues of Harvester Highlights magazine.

To submit a written story, visit our Submit a Story page. Complete the online form, and email it to us along with your story and any photos at harvesterheritage@gmail.com, or mail it to any of the contacts listed on our Contact page.
